This Two day MFHA mental health awareness and skills course qualifies your employee as a Mental Health Champion, giving them specialist knowledge and the confidence to provide Mental Health First Aid in the workplace for many of the most prevalent mental health issues.
Candidates will gain an understanding of:
- How to help build a mentally healthy workplace, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing
- What mental health is and how to challenge stigma
- A basic knowledge of common mental health issues and factors that can affect mental health
- Looking after your own mental health and maintaining mental wellbeing
- Spotting signs of distress
- How to build confidence to open the conversation relating to mental health
- How best to support a person who is in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue
- Recovery
- Supporting good mental health in the workplace
Assessment/ Certification:
The course is delivered using a blend of interactive activities, videos, case studies and group discussion, to facilitate a thought-provoking and engaging session.
All delegates receive a certificate, along with further information and good practice guides to support their learning after the event.
