Aims and objectives
- To understand the safety of workers when carrying out manual handling tasks - To state the main aims of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations - To understand the need for accident prevention and control - Basic facts and body mechanics - Methods of lifting
Assessment
Each candidate will be asked to demonstrate the correct lifting technique. Upon successfully completing the task a certificate will be issued.
