Course Dates

Poor manual handling technique is one of the main causes of injuries at work in the UK. Therefore, the Manual Handling training will be beneficial to anyone who’s job involves or could involve manual handling.

The Manual Handling course will provide you with the training to minimise risk of injury in the workplace due to bad handling technique.

You will get a certificate of attendance of the course which you’ll use to prove your completion of the course.

The certification is valid for 3 years. After this time you will need to take a refresher Manual Handling training course.

Course Content

- Manual handling hazards, risks and controls
- How manual handling operations can cause injury and harm
- The scope of legal requirements and where guidance can be found
- The process for assessing manual handling risks
- The value of risk assessment and how it applies to safe manual handling practice
- Lifting loads from low levels, working at low levels
- Lowering from height
- Pushing loads, pulling loads
- Carrying, team handling

For online training, candidates will require:

- A laptop/computer with microphone, speakers and fast internet connection (tablet/smartphones are not suitable)
- A quiet room to complete the course in
- A valid form of photo ID

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
