Manual Handling training will provide a good grounding in safe moving and handling techniques, as well as an understanding of the risks associated with such activities.
Course Aims
On completion of this occupational health and safety training course, delegates will be able to:
• Be aware of the regulations regarding the moving and handling of objects
• Discuss the anatomy of the Spine and Muscular System
• Demonstrate the safe moving and handling techniques under controlled conditions
• Explain the 4 factors of a Manual Handling Risk Assessment
Course Content
• Understand the issues surrounding Manual Handling in the workplace
• Look at the employers and employee's responsibilities regarding the safe moving and handling of objects
• Understand the medical conditions associated with poor manual handling
• Principles of good posture and efficient movement principles
• See how to prevent injuries occurring through effective risk assessments.
• Practice safe moving and handling techniques under controlled conditions.
• Theory and Practical Assessment
