Introduction
The ProQual Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision qualification provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working as a site supervisor or assistant site manager in building and civil engineering, highways maintenance and repair, residential development, conservation or demolition.
The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). The specification for the qualifications has been approved by the Welsh Government for use by centres in Wales and by the Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) for use by centres in Northern Ireland. This qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is endorsed by the sector body for construction - CSkills. It provides a progressions route to discipline related qualifications.

Centres should carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.
Candidates must provide a copy of their CV at the time of booking.
Qualification Structure
Candidates must complete the six mandatory units, plus the mandatory/optional units from one of the pathways.
Mandatory units:
- Maintaining Systems for Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental Protection in the Workplace
- Assessing and Recommending Work Methods for Carrying Out Site Operations in the Workplace
- Planning Activities and Resources to Meet Work Requirements in the Workplace
- Coordinating and Organising the Control of Work in the Workplace
- Controlling Work Progress Against Agreed Programmes in the Workplace
- Allocating and Monitoring the Use of Plant, Equipment or Machinery in the Workplace
