Course Aims
Have an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the fire safety manager.
To ensure effective management of the day to day fire safety in buildings and compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Understand the need for company policy and emergency plan.
Have knowledge of current legislation and the guidance documents available.
Learning Objectives
On completion of the course the delegates should:
• Understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
• Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
• Understand the principles and practice of fire safety management at work and explore in detail good practice and law
• Understand the role of the nominated fire warden and how this role will assist the employer to meet the legal obligations
• Complete a basic fire safety inspection of the workplace
Who Should Attend?
Persons attending this course should have a basic knowledge of fire safety, experience as a fire warden would be helpful.
Personnel who hold responsibilities for the administration and day to day control of all fire and safety matters, within an organisation. People who are taking on the role of fire warden for the organisation.
Certification
A Nationally recognised certificate will be issued on successful completion of the assessment and examination.
