Who Should Attend:

Those whose duty is to inspect and maintain ladders & stepladders in their workplace
Learning Objectives

Course Overview:

Delegates will be competent to:

- Assess and determine when it’s appropriate to inspect a ladder or stepladder
- Record finding & recommend action to be taken if faults are found
- Accurately record details of ladders & stepladders

They will have an understanding of:

- What they need to know about the law and standards relating to ladders & stepladder
- Storage & handling of ladders & stepladder
- Method The course is planned to run over a minimum or 4 hours

Training Activity:

- Slide led – trainer providing information and asking questions
- A group exercise on inspections & hazard analysis
- An individual questionnaire on inspection of Ladders & Stepladders

Assessment Process:

- Multiple Choice Questions
- Ladder / Stepladders fault finding
- Carrying, positioning ladders & stepladders

Closed book course with a pass mark of 80%

Certification:

A Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions at the level they attend the course. This has a five year validity period
