ISO 22846 - Rope Access Operative

Aims and Suitability:

This training course is delivered against the ISO 22846 framework. Delegates will be proficient in rope access methods and roof edge deployment for working at height. They will be trained in the use of ascent and descent equipment, focusing on rope set ups and knots.

Course Contents:

- Health and safety for rope access.
- CE EN standards ISO 22846.
- Inspection, selection and usage of PPE.
- Knots, anchoring and rigging.
- Rope maneuvers.
- Aid climbing.
- Self-rescue and casualty rescue.
- Roof top egress.

Delivery and Assessment:

Classroom based theory and practical climbing and rescue sessions with scenario-based activities. Written and practical assessment to ensure theoretical and practical understanding has been achieved.

Course Requirements:

Delegates must be over 18 yrs, physically fit, able to work at height with previous climbing experience. Delegates will be required to complete a medical declaration.

Equipment Required:

Delegates will need to bring suitable climbing/rope access PPE and clothing for seasonal weather conditions. Climbing PPE may be provided upon request.
