Course Aims:
A half day course (Min 4 hours) for anyone within your organization who user’s MEWP’s or controls the use of MEWPs IE supervisors/managers and need to be made aware of the correct selection, inspection and use of safety harnesses to prevent falls.
Duration: 0.5 Day
At the end of the course:
Successful delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to select, inspect and use a harness and associated equipment safely when using a MEWP, this is in line with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions. A recent upgrade to this course now means that you will be qualified to carry out periodic and interim formal inspections of your harness equipment.

- Usage and anchor points
- Harness storage and maintenance
- Hazards and precautions
- Rescue requirements and options
- Theory test
Assessment: Oral questions throughout the course with a theory and practical assessment.
Certification: On attaining the relevant pass level delegates will receive an IPAF certificate of training.
