The course covers the following categories:

1b Static Boom: Vehicle-mounted platforms, trailers and push-arounds as well as self-propelled booms (outriggers)

Aims and ojectives:

The aim of this course is to learn how to safely work at height using a MEWP and also to obtain your IPAF MEWP operator licence (PAL Card). Once you have passed both the theory and practical, you will:

Understand the relevant health and safety regulations.
Be aware of accident prevention and control measures.
Know the requirements for personal protective equipment.
Understand the importance of the machine operating manual.
Be able to drive and then manoeuvre MEWPs safely into position to work.

Please note: The theory aspect of this course is completed online and must be completed prior to the course start date. Please allow up to 4 hours to complete the theory training, This is a rough time frame, however the exact duration may vary depending on each individual. If the theory aspect is not complete prior to the course start date, the delegate will be turned away and no refund or transfer will be given. Delegates will attend the training centre for the practical aspect of the course.
