The IOSH Safety for Executives and Directors (SED) provides CEOs, Directors and other Senior Managers operating at policy and strategic levels a thorough understanding of their health and safety responsibilities and the moral, legal and financial benefits of proactive safety, health and risk management.
The course content is designed around the HSE/Institute of Directors (IoD) guidance "Leading Health and Safety - Leadership actions for directors and board members" and will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to integrate health and safety strategy into their business and management systems and procedures.

The IOS Safety for Executives and Directors course is aimed at those who have overall operational or strategic responsibilities for determining and implementing effective safety and health management and monitoring its success.
It is suitable for owners of small and medium sized enterprises and executive/non-executive directors of larger organisations with governance structures.
What is Covered in the IOSH SED?
The IOSH SSE is split into 5 modules and covers; the moral, legal and financial reasons to manage health and safety, planning, implementing, monitoring and improving health and safety performance.
How is the IOSH SED assessed?
The end of course assessment consists of a personal commitment (action plan) to include up to three actions that are appropriate for the level of responsibility held in their organisation.
