IOSH Managing Safely

Who is it for?

Managing Safely is designed to give managers and supervisors, in any sector and organisation, an understanding of their responsibilities and how to deal with health and safety issues in the workplace.

What will you get out of it?

An IOSH Managing Safely certificate is awarded to all who successfully complete the course and assessments.
Managing Safely will ensure that you understand why health and safety is an important part of a manager’s job, as well as providing you with the knowledge and skills to be able to take practical action to handle the health and safety issues you are responsible for.

What does it cover?

Managing safely is delivered as an interactive learning experience, in a classroom with a tutor. Managing safely covers:

- an introduction to managing safely
- investigating accidents and incidents
- human factors
- assessing risk
- controlling risk
- understanding managers responsibilities
- common hazards
- measuring performance
- protecting the environment

Your knowledge and understanding will be assessed at the end of the course with a multiple choice test paper and a workplace assessment.
