Summary
The Institution for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is Europe’s leading body for health and safety and is committed to promoting protection from workplace hazards at every level. The Managing Safely certificate issued by IOSH is recognised nationally and identifies the holder as having been instructed in proactive approaches to managing health, safety and welfare. Managing Safely has been developed to address the safety and health training needs of the non-expert.
Who Should Attend?
Managing Safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It is designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.
Course Content
Delegates will receive detailed training and on completion will have a detailed understanding of:
- The identification of desired workplace behaviours
- Best industry practices
- Management responsibilities of health and safety and their legal requirements
- Reactive and proactive monitoring techniques
On Completion
On course completion, delegates will undertake a short assessment and conduct a workplace assessment. Assessments are carried out throughout the day and all delegates who successfully complete this course are issued with IOSH certificates.
