IOSH Working Safely courses are an ideal introduction to why health and safety are important. They are designed to improve the safety culture within an organisation and provide employees with an understanding of how their actions in the workplace contribute to safety, health and well-being, as well as their individual safety responsibilities in keeping themselves and other safe at work. The IOSH Working Safely course is suitable for employees at all levels of any organisation and in any sector, as well as those seeking to enter the workplace. If you attend the classroom course, it also counts towards the CSCS Labourers “Green” Card
Course Aims:
- To provide learners with an understanding of how their actions in the workplace contribute to safety and health - To ensure that learners clearly understand their safety and health responsibilities

- Identify why it is important to work safely - Identify everyone’s responsibilities in relation to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace - Define key terms in safety and health - Identify workplace hazards and risks, their impact and how to control them - Identify ways safety, health and wellbeing are managed and improved within the workplace

The IOSH Working Safely course is assessed by a short multiple choice exam and hazard spotting exercise at the end of the course.
