Introduction:

IOSH Working Safely is designed as an introduction to health and safety in the workplace for staff. It focuses on the basic principles of health and safety at work.

As with all our courses, we tailor the content to reflect the working environment and practices of the learner group, as our experience has shown that this enables them to see the relevance of the content and apply what is being taught to their own work situations.

Who Should Attend:

All staff in an organisation. This course can also form part of an induction training programme.

Course Content:


- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance
- Assessment

Course Objectives:

By the end of the IOSH Working Safely training, delegates will be able to:

- Identify common hazards in the workplace
- Be aware that some types of injury or ill-health can occur after prolonged exposure
- Identify factors that constitute a satisfactory working environment
- Appreciate how individual actions may endanger colleagues or those passing through the workplace.

Assessment:

An examination paper comprising multiple-choice questions lasting a maximum of 45 minutes.

Certification:


Upon successful completion, delegates will achieve an IOSH accredited certificate
