This course is designed for anyone who has already successfully completed the IOSH Managing Safely and needs to keep their knowledge and skills updated. Successful conclusion of the course will lead to IOSH re-certification.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone who has successfully completed the IOSH Managing Safely course (IOSH recommend that knowledge is topped up every three years).

Course Objects:
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Apply basic management and practices to safety and health issues as part of a total management strategy. - Understand why incidents and accidents occur and know how to undertake a suitable investigation. - Understand the basic principles of risk assessment, developing control strategies and evaluating performance. - Be familiar with the employer’s, managers’ and the employees’ legal and moral responsibilities for health and safety. - Have the capacity to communicate effectively on health and safety matters. - Recognise the hazards within the workplace and the type of action which may be needed to control and manage them.
Assessment:
There is a multi-choice examination at the end, no project work is required for the re-certification course.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will achieve an IOSH accredited certificate.
Additional Information:
You will need to refresh your IOSH Qualification within the three year period specified by IOSH. Failure to do so will mean that IOSH will require you to attend the full course again to maintain your certificate.
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
