Course Aims
To ensure that individual responsibilities are understood:
- Why they are carrying out their identified duties.
- What is expected of them.
- To ensure that they contribute to the safety of the workplace.
To ensure that the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the need to prevent accidents.
- Have an understanding of health and safety law.
- Identify how their role fits into the control and management of the site.
- Understand the need for risk assessments and method statements.
- Appreciate the need to perform safely and to stop and ask for advice if not sure.
- Feel obliged to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident.
Course Assessment
The method of assessment will be by 25 multiple-choice questions at the end of the
Instructors
Courses are carried out by our fully trained HSE/CITB accredited instructors and the training will be of a high quality standard throughout. All instructors possess the NEBOSH Construction Certificate as minimum.
Location of Training
Training can be delivered In-House or at our training facilities nationwide. Training delivered on site will be more advantageous to the trainees as the training can be specific to their workplace activities and costs to the client are significantly reduced.
Equipment
Pen/Pencil/Notepad, all other training equipment is provided.
Prerequisites
National Insurance Number and a CSCS Card (if held).
Achievement Measurement
The training is carried out in accordance with Nationally Accredited Standards leading to each delegate being issued a certificate of attainment from the CITB Construction Skills.
