Health & Safety Awareness (CITB) - Site Safety Plus

This is a 1-day introductory course for health and safety.  It is for people who are new to the construction and civil engineering industries. It teaches the main health and safety issues on construction sites and how these affect your job role. This course is often the first step towards a CSCS Labourers (green card) and a progressive route to more CITB site safety plus courses such as site management, site supervisor and director’s roles.   

Course content

·         Workers' individual responsibilities for their own safety and the safety of others

·         Typical construction hazards and how these are controlled

·         How everyone can help achieve better practical standards of safety on site

·         Legal requirements and liabilities

·         Working at height

·         Manual handling

·         Fire prevention

·         Work equipment

·         Occupational health.

Assessment

The assessment is classroom based with some practical elements throughout. Our trainers are highly experienced and are there to guide you through this course.

Award

On completion successful delegates will achieve a CITB accredited certificate valid for 5 years.
