Health and Safety Awareness (CITB) – Site Safety Plus Training – Online Classroom

Overview:

This is a one-day course designed for those who are involved in the construction industry as a member of the workforce.

This course highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

Completing the Operatives HS&E test and the Site Safety Plus Health & Safety Awareness course entitles the delegate to apply for a CSCS Labourers Green Card. Please note the HS&E Test needs to be booked at a Pearson Vue venue. CSCS cards are commonly used on construction sites as a minimum requirement for entry. The course provides health and safety awareness and is endorsed by Build UK as standard training for all operatives on site.

Pre-requisites:

The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English. The minimum age of attendance for this course is 16 years old, however delegates who are under the age of 18 must bring a completed parental consent form to the first day of the training course.

Duration: One day. Full day (7.5 hours).

Assessments:

The question paper consists of 25 multiple-choice questions: 20 questions are worth one mark each and 5 questions are worth two marks each. The delegates must obtain 25 marks out of 30 (83%) or more in order to pass the examination. This exam must be taken at the end of the course. For a delegate to obtain certification for this course they must pass the HSA examination. The examination lasts 30 minutes and must be completed within this time. This is a closed book exam.

Certification: 

Successful delegates will be issued with a CITB HSA certificate which is valid for five years.
