Who Should Attend?
This course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site. It aims to provide a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental health and safety issues.
Aims and Objectives
To ensure the individual health and safety responsibilities of the working are understood:
- Why they are carrying out their identified duties
- What is expected of them while on site
- How they contribute to the safety of the workplace
At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:
- The need to prevent accidents
- Health and safety law
- How your role fits into the control and management of the site
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Performing safely and asking for advice
- How to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
Certification
Successful candidates will be awarded with a CITB Health and Safety Awareness digital certificate, which is valid for five years.
