Course Aims:
These include the main characteristics of the Private Security Industry, the importance of safe working practices to comply with legal requirements, the role and objectives of a door supervisor, powers of arrest relevant to a door supervisor, how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations, good practice to follow after conflict situations, physical interventions and the implications of their use and the use non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others.
Course Contents:
Unit 1 – Working within the private security industry
Unit 2 – Working as a Door Supervisor within the private security industry
Unit 3 – Conflict Management for the private security industry Unit 4 – Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry
Assessment:
To pass the Door Supervisor course you will have to sit three multiple choice question examinations.
• Unit 1 – 40 questions – 1 hour long – pass mark 28
• Unit 2 – 45 questions – 1 hours and 15 minutes long – pass mark 32
• Unit 3 – 20 questions – 30 minutes long – pass mark 14
You will also be required to complete a practical physical intervention skills assessment for which we provide training for. There will also be a written test you will need to complete and pass.

To apply for the SIA Badge there is an additional cost of £220 which includes the administration fees, directly to the Security Industry Authority. If you're applying for your second badge, this will be half the stated price.
