who Should Attend:
Our Qualsafe (QA) Level 3 Award in First Aid (RQF) is a nationally regulated recognised qualification. This 3 day First Aid at Work course meets the standards required to comply with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations, endorsed by the HSE, and is suitable for those persons who are responsible for providing emergency First Aid treatment, including how to deal with a range of injuries and illnesses, to employees and visitors within the workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Course Overview:
Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
Objectives:
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations and/or take on the role of first aider in the workplace.
Purpose:
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare the Learner to develop the skills and knowledge needed to take on the role of first aider in the workplace.
Entry Requirements:
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training. There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.
Assessment:
6 x Practical assessments, 2 x Theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Papers) and continuous formative assessment conducted throughout the course.
Certification:
Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) certificate as well a plastic aide memoire, both personalised with their Centre’s details.
