Attending First Aid At Work training course is the first step in gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to prepared you for an unfortunate situation should arise.
This First Aid At Work training course will not make you a doctor, a nurse or a paramedic, but it will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to save a life as a qualified First Aider.

This training course will provide the necessary training required to be a qualified First Aider. You will cover the legal duties, provide an understanding and requirements in an unfortunate situation.
– The role of the First Aider – Managing an emergency – Communication and casualty care – Asthma – Bleeding (minor and severe) – Bone, muscle and joint injuries – Burns and scalds – Chest pains (including heart attack) – Choking (adult and babies) – Eye injuries – Fainting – Defibrillator prompts and how to respond – Head injuries – Health and safety (first aid) regulations – Low blood sugar – Poisoning – Resuscitation (adult CPR) – Seizures – Severe allergic reaction – Shock – Spinal injuries – Stroke – Unresponsive casualty – Defibrillator pad placement
Certification:
Certification of the course is valid for 3 years upon completion. On completion candidates will be awarded a First Aid at Work Level 3 certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) who are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
