The HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Re-qualification Course is for those people who already hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate, to re-certify their qualification.

The HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course provides suitable training for the first aiders from high risk or larger organisations.

Who is the Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Renewal for? 

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course Renewal is for anyone who currently holds a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.

Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course Syllabus: 
 
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Be able to assess and incident 
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally 
- Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally including AED 
- Know how to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking 
- Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding 
- Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock 
- Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury 
- Be able to conduct a secondary survey 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning 
- Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis 
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness  

Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course Assessment Process

This course is assessed by practical demonstration and oral questioning. 

Highfield Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Course Renewal Process

It is strongly recommended that all first aiders undergo an annual ½ day First Aid Refresher Course to keep their skills up to date. 

After three years learners must undertake a two day Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification Course to keep their First Aid at Work qualification valid.
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
