Course Duration:
This is a blended learning course meaning that students undertake 6 hours of distance learning online before their attendance at a course. This online learning consists of items such as fractures, head injuries, poisons, burns and other areas which cuts down on the amount of time away from the business. This is a 2 day face-to-face course held at one of our suitable venues.
Please note that the e-learning module must be completed prior to the course start date. Failure to do so will mean that candidates are unable to complete the classroom based element of the course and will automatically fail the course.
Course Content:
Courses will comprise of CPR, recovery position, burns, catastrophic bleeding, heart conditions, strokes and much more.
Assessment and Certification:
Our certificates are RQF certified and last for 3 years however we do recommend yearly refreshers to keep skills up to date. All students are issued with a First Aid manual for reference after the course has finished. There is a practical exam and multiple choice exam which may be paper based, or electronic, course dependent.
Pre-requisites:
We must inform all students that it is a mandatory requirement that they are able to fulfil the ability to conduct all physical activities according to regulatory requirements. This will entail performing CPR on the floor while on your knees, and being able to move someone on the floor into the recovery position.
We encourage all our students to wear casual comfortable clothes to our courses, bearing in mind the physical elements of the course.
All students must bring valid photographic ID to the course, this may be passport, driving licence, citizen card, military ID or any registered licence.
