Who is it for?
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) / Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSENI) recommends that first aiders have annual refresher training to maintain their skills and keep up to date with any changes which may happen between completing a first aid at work course and requalifying three years later.

The course recaps how to help someone who is:
- unresponsive and breathing
- unresponsive and not breathing, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- choking
- bleeding
- in shock
- burned
- having a seizure
- has a head injury
- has Asthma
Qualification:
This course is not certified. It is designed to keep your existing first aid at work or emergency first aid at work skills and confidence refreshed.
Pre-requisites:
Learners must have a valid first aid at work or emergency first aid at work certificate to take this course.
Our courses offer a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation. Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
