Introduction
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 specifically mentions the need to draw up an emergency plan to cover the action to be taken in the event of fire and makes reference to employers to appoint and train an adequate number of suitable staff to implement fire safety measures.
Who Should Attend?
This one day course will provide trained Fire Wardens to assist an organisation in meeting their responsibilities under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Course Objectives
On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand relevant legislation, principles and applications of fire risk assessments
- Identify fire hazards in the workplace, monitor and review fire risk assessments
- Take appropriate and effective action if a fire occurs in their area of responsibility
- Arrange and monitor regular fire evacuation drills and maintain escape routes
- Understand the basics of manual / automatic fire detection/emergency lighting systems and operation of fire fighting equipment
- Carry out regular inspections, examination and weekly tests of active and passive fire precautions.

Certification and Assessment
Delegates will be assessed on their input during the practical exercise and their feedback.
