The ½ day EUSR SHEA Gas Renewal courses provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness for those working on operational sites. 

Who Should Attend: 

Individuals Candidates MUST have a valid in date SHEA GAS registration that has a minimum of 7 days remaining to be entitled to attend this course 

who are involved in the operational activities of the gas industry who require access to sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of operatives, supervisors and management.

Pre Requisites:

Candidates MUST have a valid in date SHEA GAS registration that has a minimum of 7 days remaining to be entitled to attend this course 
Developed in collaboration with the industry and key stakeholders this course ensures you will meet the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.

Course Contents:

The course follows a modular approach with nine modules in total. Six of the modules are designated as ‘core’ modules, which are pertinent for all utility sectors. The other three modules are specific to the gas industry.

The modules covered are:

Module 1: Understanding our workplace responsibilities
Module 2: Understandin the effects of our work on the environment
Module 3: Identifying and controlling risks
Module 4: Common hazards in the workplace
Module 5: Occupational health hazards
Module 6: Responding to emergencies
Module 14: Highway working and excavations (gas)
Module 15: Pressure regulating installations
Module 16: Safety in premises 

To gain the EUSR SHEA Gas Renewal  registration certificate candidates must complete all nine modules. 

Assessment: 

SHEA assessments are multiple choice and structured so that there is a single test at the end of the refresher session. Candidates are expected to already have knowledge needed to be successful.  

Certification: 

Learners will receive an EUSR photo ID card with the qualification stated on the back.

SHEA GAS EUSR registration is valid for three years

The SHEA Gas Scheme is partnered with CSCS to allow power industry workers access to construction sites for utilities works with the need for a separate CSCS card.
