Course Details:
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), is an accepted minimum standard that must be achieved for many who are designated as a workplace First Aiders. This course is an ideal introduction to the First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification that other designated First Aiders will have to achieve.
Pre-requisites: No previous experience is necessary to join this course.
Course Aims:
To provide delegates with the skills and confidence to perform Emergency First Aid in the workplace.

- Dealing with an emergency
- Infection Control measures
- Primary Survey
- Causes of unconsciousness
- Secondary Survey
- CPR - adults, children and babies
- Choking procedures
- Control of shock
- Bleeding management
- Dealing with burns
- Accident, incident and RIDDOR
Assessment Criteria: Continued practical and written skills assessment throughout the course
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a nationally regulated qualification which is valid for three years.
