Course Dates

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for those who have an interest in child and infant Basic Life Support, including parents, guardians and family members

Aims & Objectives:

This training course covers the basic in order to save a child or infant life in an emergency situation. Understand the role and responsibilities of the Emergency Paediatric First Aider and have the ability to assess in an emergency situation and prioritise your actions. Parents who require knowledge of Paediatric First Aid can also take part in the training.

Course Contents:

You will alearn how to help a baby or child who is:

- Unresponsive and breathing normally
- Unresponsive and not breathing normally
- Having a seizure
- Choking
- Suffering from shock
- Bleeding

Certification:

Certification of the course is valid for 3 years upon completion. On successful completion candidates will be awarded a Emergency Paediatric First Aid at Work Level 3 certificate by First Aid Awards (FAA) who are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation.
