Who Should Attend:

The one day Emergency First Aid at Work course is ideally suited for employees who are given the role of Emergency First Aider at work as it provides a good working knowledge of emergency first aid and the confidence to use it. This course is also perfect for lone workers and individuals or employees from smaller, low risk operators. It is often the minimum requirement for sports coaches, instructors, and support workers.

Contents:

Understanding the role and responsibilities of the First Aider
Assessing an emergency situation
First aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing normally
First Aid for a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing (use of AED)
Treatment for a casualty suffering from a seizure
First Aid for a choking casualty
First Aid treatment for external bleeding, including treatment of shock
First Aid to a casualty with bites, stings and minor injuries including burns
