Course Overview
All our First Aid courses are delivered using the latest equipment, delivered by experienced tutors. Wherever possible courses are tailored to the work environments of the participants, ensuring that scenarios they are likely to encounter are given precedent in practical sessions, better preparing students for real-world incidents.
Assessment
To confirm understanding, students will be assessed through their contribution toward group discussion, continuous practical assessment and an open-book multiple choice examination.
Course Content
- The roles and responsibilities of a first-aider
- Assessing an emergency situation safely
- CPR and AED
- Administering first aid to a choking casualty
- Dealing with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuriea
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years.
