Course overview

The Emergency First Aid work course is Unit 1 and day 1 of the First Aid At Work 3 day course.

Candidates successfully completing this coursewill be entitled to act as a first aider in the workplace. This emergency first aid at work course may be more suitable wherby a needs assessment has indentified a low-risk work environment. This course complies with the Health & Safety ( First Aid) Regulations 1981 (Appendix 6 content of an emergency first aid at work (EFAW)

Course Content

Roles and responsibilties of First aider
Cross Infection
recording incidents & Actions
Use of avaliable equipment
Assessing an incident
unconscious casualities (Including Sezuire )
Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation
Safe use of an automated external defibrillator
choking
wounds and bleeding
Shock
Minor injuries (including small cuts, Grazes and bruises, minor burns, scalds, small splinters

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
