Overview

This training enables candidates to take charge and manage an incident. Candidates will be able to coordinate with the emergency services as necessary.

Suitable For

Anyone wishing to undertake Emergency First Aid training.

Aims

To provide knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

- The role of the first aider, including reference to the importance of preventing cross infection
- The need for recording incidents and actions
- Use of available equipment
- Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
- Administer cardio pulmonary resuscitation and AED
- Administer first aid to a casualty who could be choking, wounded, bleeding and deal with shock
- Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
