Course Objectives
Delegates will learn:
- The first aider’s responsibilities and duties in reference to relevant legislation.
- The treatment for an unconscious casualty and how to place them into the recovery position.
- How to perform CPR on the resuscitation mannequin.
- To correctly control bleeding, including applying a dressing and the correct treatment for shock.
- To recognise the symptoms and signs of the different types of a heart attack and demonstrate the correct treatments.
- To recognise the signs and symptoms of injuries to bones, immobilise the injured part and make the casualty comfortable.
- Identifying the causes and apply the correct treatment for miscellaneous conditions.

Class size: 12 learners
Who should attend?
All persons who need training in Emergency First Aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
