Length of Course: Minimum of 6 contact hours
Course Information:The qualification covers the following topics:
- Roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessment and management of first aid incidents
- Management of an unconscious casualty/demonstrate the recovery position
- Management of an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Management of a casualty who is not breathing normally
- Management of a casualty who is choking
- Management of a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
- Management of a casualty who is in shock
- Management of a casualty who suffers from Diabetes, Epilepsy & Stroke
- Management of a casualty who suffers from a Heart/Angina attack, Head Injuries & Anaphylactic Shock
- Management of a casualty who suffers from a Fracture, Burns & Scalds and Sprains & Strains
- First Aiders will be able to demonstrate a Support & Elevated Sling.
