Overview:
This training course gives an insight to emergency first aid at work and for delegates to gain skills and knowledge with in this area and to be able to confidently provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. It will help you meet you regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that First Aid training covering emergency procedures only, is sufficient for your workplace. This course satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid- Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Basic Hygiene in First Aid
- Resuscitation

- Minor injuries
- Bleeding control
- Burns

- Shock
Who Should Attend?
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to enable the Emergency First Aider in a low risk environment workplace to carry out appropriate first aid in an emergency or to help assist your organisations First Aider in a higher risk workplace environment.
Course Duration: 1 Day – Course comprising of a minimum of 6 hours
Maximum number of delegates ratio: 12:1
Course Schedule: Classroom based theory & practical training and assessment
Pre requisite: Must be over the age of 14 years and demonstrate competancy in practical activities. The student cannot assume responsibility in the workplace until they reach 16, then it’s the employers responsibility to ensure suitability
Accreditation: FAA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF)
Assessment: Practical observation and mutiple choice test paper
Certification: The successful delegate will receive a certificate of training which wil be valid for 3 years. Annual refresher courses are recommended.
