Aims & Objectives:

To provide detailed practical and theory training in operating a Excavator 360 Degree, this will enable the candidate to competently and safely carry out duties and pass the CPCS Tests.

Course Contents:

- Operating the machinery to a minimum standard
- Fitting and operating ancillary equipment
- Siting and manoeuvring the machine safely and efficiently
- Carrying out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures
- Preparing the machine for travelling on the public highway
- The capabilities of each machine, its purpose and limitations
- All safety precautions necessary for the correct operation of the machine
- How diesel engines work and how various parts of the machine operate
- How to interpret the information provided by level pegs, profiles and so on
- What routine adjustments and servicing procedures are necessary, and how to carry them out

Certification:

Upon successful completion of the CPCS technical tests, delegates will achieve the CPCS Red Trained Operators Card which is valid for 2 years.

Entry Requirements:

Please note any delegate attending this course MUST have passed the relevant Health and Safety Touchscreen test within the last two years or prior to the course start date. They must also have a good level and understanding of the English language.
