CPCS Training (A31) - Ride on Roller Course - Experienced Worker

Entry Requirements:

Delegates must have completed the CSCS Health, Safety & Environmental Test for Operatives within the past two years.

All delegates must also have a good understanding of the written and spoken English language.

Course contents:

- All pre-start, running checks and shut down procedures
- Set roller for travel
- Awareness of on-site hazards
- Set the roller for compaction duties
- Place roller in and out of service conditions
- Recognise compacted/uncompacted areas
- Conditions that may cause instability of the roller
- Safety procedures when working up to unsupported edges
- Loading and unloading procedures on/off a transporter

Assessment/Certification:

In order to achieve the CPCS 'Red' Trained Operators card, delegates must successfully complete 2 days learning through a mix of teaching and practical exercises and one day assessment including the CPCS Technical tests.

Additional Information:

Delegates are required to take photographic ID and their National Insurance Number. They will also need to take usual site PPE including Eye and Ear protection.
