All candidates must have passed the CITB Construction Skills Health & Safety Test within 2 years to attend the course. 


Course overview 
• Conduct pre-operational checks to equipment 
• To prepare the machine for safe site and road use 
• Manoeuvre in confined areas using forward and reverse direction 
• To prepare and attach the forks for lifting 
• Set the telescopic handler in order to lift various loads. 
• Learn to stack and destack palletised loads 
• Chicane in forward and reverse direction both laden and unladen 
• Uphill and downhill hill starts 
• Place and retrieve loads accurately at various heights 
• Conduct isolation procedures
 
The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
