City & Guilds Medium Risk Entrant & Entry Controller for Confined Spaces Refresher: 6160-09

Course Introduction
This medium risk conÄned space re-assessment is designed for anyone currently operating in conÄned spaces
looking to refresh their current qualiÄcation. This session is delivered at our City & Guilds accredited centres in
Swansea & CardiÅ, with the use of our purpose built conÄned space simulated environments Ç such as an indoor
tunnels and covers; safe entry, emergency procedures and escapes using breathing apparatus.
Course Pre-Requisites
You must hold an in-date City & Guilds ConÄned Space quliÄcation, to include operation and entry control for
medium risk conÄned space to undertake this refresher.
Delegates must physically and mentally Ät to withstand the rigorous practical training, conÄrmed by our Ätness
statement.
Candidates must be able to understand and speak the English Language. 
Course Topics
Theory & Practical refresher assessments, covering the following;
Health and safety overview
ConÄned space regulations and legislation
SpeciÄed risks
Safe systems of work including risk assessments
Dangerous atmospheres and environmental monitoring
Gas detection equipment
Safety, access and escape equipment Ç including davit, tripod, man-riding winches, retrieval devices and
escape breathing apparatus
Harness (EN1497) user inspection and Ätting
Conducting vertical access
Vacating a hazardous environment
