If you have not yet done the 17th Edition then you will need to take our 3 day 18th Edition course.
Our 1 Day 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Course (Requirements for Electrical Installations 2382) could not be more convenient as their is no need to purchase your regs book before you attend, as you can loan a copy for the course.
Your examination will be on the same day of attendance.
Content
The 1 day 18th Edition course will mainly focus on the changes to the 17th Edition since the third amendment plus how to navigate the latest blue book. You won’t learn every regulation in the book instead you will learn to reference the latest regulations as you would on the job.
Topics currently covered on the course will still be:
- Scope, object and fundamental principles
- Definitions
- Assessment of general characteristics
- Protection for safety
- Selection and erection of equipment
- Inspection and testing
- Special installations or locations
- Appendices
Aim
To allow successful candidates to demonstrate their competency in understanding the BS 7671
Participants
This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Certification
The duration of this test is 120 Minutes
The examination is open book. Candidates are permitted to take a clean copy of the following reference materials into the exam: IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018
Candidates will also require a non-programmable calculator.
On successful completion you will be awarded a City & Guilds Certificate – note assessment will take place at our training centre.
