This qualification is for people who have an administrative responsibility for testing and inspection of electrical equipment to gain a qualification suitable to their role.

Course Content

- Electrical Safety in the workplace and elsewhere
- The role of Regulations and the responsibilities of the duty holder
- Insulation and earthing of appliances and equipment
- Classification of appliances
- Preliminary Inspection, pre test precautions
- Using a Portable Appliance Tester
- Required tests
- Optional tests
- labeling of assets and bar coding
- Maintaining the asset register
- Reporting and recording results
- Implementing an electrical test programme
- Practical Assessment of delegates

Assessment:

All candidates are assessed via the two multiple choice 30 and 45 question examination – City and Guilds 2377 22/32 is an “Open Book” examination and is carried out using the computer based City and Guilds e-volve system – all candidates are given their results at the end of the examination. There is also a separate practical assessment in the use of portable appliance testers.

The course either has new dates in data loading, or is only run as a dedicated or In Company course.
