Attendees
Only CISRS card holders, who have achieved a minimum of part 1 training (in either tube and fitting or system) are eligible to attend these 2-day training courses. If the operative has only completed part 1 training, they will still be classed as a Trainee. They may use the specific system they have been trained in, but only under the direct supervision of a CISRS qualified Scaffolder who also holds that system endorsement.
Objectives
The aim of this Scaffolder training scheme is to provide Scaffolders with skills and knowledge for safe use of the particular system in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Overview
This 2-day System Scaffolding Product Training Scheme was introduced along with the CISRS System Scaffolder scheme in recognition of the significant differences between the various proprietary system scaffolding products covered by CISRS.
Attendees who successfully complete the scaffolding training and assessment can apply to have their CISRS record card endorsed with the name of the specific system scaffold product, for which they have received training.
If an operative wishes to use a second type or brand of a similar CISRS-approved systems product, e.g. Cuplok and Genlok, the employer will be required to ensure all relevant product information is passed onto the operative, and that the operative is aware of any differences in product capability, erection procedure, tie patterns, etc.
