Pre-requisites

You need to have completed a Health, Safety & Environmental Touchscreen test within the last 2 years.

Who is it For?

For anyone wishing to have a career in Scaffolding

Course content includes:

General responsibilities
Basic scaffolding terminology
Servicing of equipment (tube, fittings, boards etc)
Boards and stock – quality control
Health, welfare, hygiene and housekeeping
Electrical safety
Fire prevention and control
Noise and vibration
Working at height and slips, trips and falls
Accident prevention and reporting
PPE (personal protective equipment)
Transport safety on site
Equipment and tools
Manual handling (including loading and unloading)
Lifting equipment using rope and wheel

Certificate

CISRS Certificate & Card
A Labourer card is valid for 5 years.

Important Information:

As of March 2024 delegates can no longer achieve the Trainee Scaffolder card by completing the COTS course, only the Labourer Card.
