Attendees 

 
This scaffold course is designed for non-Scaffolders who erect, alter and dismantle very basic and routine scaffolding structures using specific modular system scaffolding. 
 
Attendees will be required to: 
• Hold a current Construction Skills health & safety test pass certificate, or equivalent. As a basic scaffolding course, it is aimed at tradespersons such as bricklayers or maintenance operatives who have the need to construct their own temporary access. 
• Have Attended a 1 day COTS at least 6 months before enrolment . 
• Hold a COTS card or CSCS Trade Card (e.g. Bricklayer, Plasterer, Joiner, General Operative etc.) for a minimum of 6 months.
 
Objectives 
 
The aim of this CISRS basic access systems course is to provide operatives with limited skills and knowledge for safe use in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions within restricted conditions and environments.

Certification 
 
Upon successful completion of the course, the Trainee will be issued with a BASE Completion Certificate and an application form to apply for a BASE record card for the specific system scaffolding product in which they have been trained. The Accredited Centre will notify the data management unit at Construction Skills of successful completion.
