Aim
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course is a nationally recognised qualification for delegates who have a current Safety Passport which is about to expire. The course will bring delegates up to date with present legislation and is 1 day in length.
As of 1st April 2022 there will be no more grace period; candidates must renew their certification before the expiry date.
Candidates can attend a renewal course up to six months before their current qualification expires.
On successful completion of the CCNSG Renewal delegates are issued with a new CCNSG Safety Passport which is valid for 3 years.
Course Content
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal course will provide delegates with the following:
Update on legislation and safety practices
Refresher on the areas covered in the safety passport
Hazard spotting and job safety analysis
The CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal will cover the following:
- Health and Safety law, permits to work and safe behaviour at work
- Safe working practices relating to working at height, use of scaffolding and access equipment
- Safe working practices for access, exiting and site transport
- Accident, first aid and fire procedures, precautions
- COSHH regulations and personal protective equipment requirements
- Implications of working with asbestos
- Noise and hand-arm vibration procedures and practices
- Regulations for working with cranes and heave lifting equipment
- Procedures and practices for working with cranes and heavy lifting
- Procedures, controls and precautions for electricity and power isolation
Assessment
Delegates are required to complete 2 x multiple choice tests (one at the end of the morning and afternoon sessions). In order to pass delegates must achieve 80% or more on each test.

Course Fees
The course fee is made up of a Training Course Charge of £110.00 which is the ECITB price cap. This covers registrations, examinations, certification, publications and audits.
In addition to the course fee there is an additional £10.00 charge for lunch, snacks, beverages etc.
