Who’s the CAT and Genny course for?
The CAT and Genny training course would be beneficial to anybody who’s role requires the safe and correct use of cable avoidance tools. For example, any workers or supervisors that are responsible for locating underground equipment in the building or repair roads and motorways in the UK.

The main benefit is that it will give you the required knowledge to work more safely. You will learn how to identify and avoid hazards and risks which will keep both you and your colleagues safe. Employers can also be confident of minimising the risk of delays and the consequent financial losses. The training will also comply with the guidance from the HS&E and the HSG47 ‘Avoiding danger from underground services’. The course is also designed to conform with the CDM regulations 2015.
How long is the certification valid for?
The certification is valid for 3 years. After this time you will need to retake the course.
