This course includes safe use, maintenance and storage of Cable Avoidance Tools and associated equipment including Sonde, EZITRACE, Connection Kit, Cable Clamp and Genny.

Who is it for?

Our CAT and Genny training courses are suitable for anyone involved in excavation work including excavation operators, utilities personnel and supervisors and managers. No previous experience is necessary although some practical experience of groundwork and excavations would be beneficial.

Course at a glance:

- Operation and use of inductive and connective equipment
- An understanding of the operation and use of Sond’s Ezitrace, cable clamps, House connection Kit
- Safe use, handling and storage of the equipment
- Principles of electronic pipe location
- Basic maintenance of equipment

Delivery Method: Classroom based theory and practical training assessment

Assessment: Multiple choice test paper, verbal questioning and practical skills

Certification: Certificate accredited by the training provider which is valid for 3 years
