Level 3 Award Education And Training (AET / PTLLS)

The Award in Edication and Training (previously knowns as the PTLLS) is a nationally recognised foundation course for those looking to develop their skills to teach, tutor or train in the adult education, community, work based or skills sector.

Course Delivery Methods:

This qualification is delivered on our user-friendly online learning platform with full tutor support, comprising of 3 units:

- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Understanding assessment in education and training
- Understanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and training

For this course, you will need to undertake a microteach. Microteaching is an activity where trainee teachers prepare and deliver a short teaching and learning session to their peers and then evaluate their practice. The microteach is a 15-30-minute presentation where you follow your own lesson plan. This can be completed live by using Microsoft Teams, Skype or Zoom, or it can be self-recorded.

Who is the qualification for?

This qualification is ideal for those wanting to train others as part of their business or for their company.

Course Entry Requirements:

- Candidates must be at least 19 years of age to enrol on this course
- Candidates must have a good understanding of the English language and writing
